“I need to see it with my own eyes”.
“Straight from the horse's mouth”.
You might’ve heard that before, you might’ve even said it.
Depending on the claim, some people don’t need to see to believe, some do.
Some people don’t need to hear straight from the horse’s mouth, some do.
If you tell me you’re not feeling well, in the middle of a global pandemic, I’ll believe you.
But someone I saw crucified and buried, is now alive and walking the earth again?
I'll need to see that for myself. Straight from the horse's mouth.
“Unless I see the nail marks in His hands, and put my fingers where the nails were, I will not believe.”
Show me your hand.
It’s not that I’m doubting you, it's that I’m doubting me.
If you show me your hand I’ll believe.
Turns out showing your hand means opening your hand.
And opening your hand makes it much easier to give - a hand.
Or a belief, disguised as a hand.
Show me your hand.
